My Story…

From first sale on eBay to building my own business.

I have been selling on eBay since 2011. I still remember that first sale I made and the rush I felt from it. I suppose, this is why I am still selling today.

I love the whole process from hunting for new items, researching quality products, composing stock photography, right through to the transaction at the end.

It gives me a good feeling particularly when I’m selling second hand goods as I like to think this promotes a culture of reusing which is a step in the right direction for a greener planet.

In 2016 eBay launched a new service called eBay Neighbourhood. This service connected eBay users with trusted eBay sellers in their local area who would sell their items on consignment.

I signed up for this service as a seller and quickly became very successful. This was a great opportunity as I learned many new skills while selling a substantial amount of diverse items.

Despite eBay Neighbourhood being shut down in 2017, I decided that I wanted to continue to provide this service. I began to advertise my services on different platforms and as expected there was a demand from the public. In a few weeks, I started getting new enquiries and managed to create my own consignment service.
